It is no secret that I cannot knit or crochet, but that will not stop me from crafting with yarn and with this list of no knit yarn crafts anyone can enjoy the endless crafting possibilities of yarn!
After last year’s yarn theme craft challenge with Erika and Megan, I decided to look into more yarn crafts that don’t require knitting or crochet skills. I was surprised with how much I found! From pom poms to string art to jewelry, the yarn projects were truly endless and that inspired this roundup.
Oh, and don’t worry about me. I have not given up on knitting quite yet. With my Grannie at my side and Erika’s new intro to knitting video series I have plenty of help to get me stitching. I just hope my teachers know how much trouble I will be to teach!
The Ultimate List of No Knit Yarn Crafts
Anyways, on with the fun. Let’s start off the list of no knit yarn crafts with three pom pom yarn projects. My favourite here: the emojis for sure! There were lots of posts with pom pom ideas but the emojis really stand out!
You can make several types of flowers by working with yarn in different ways. These three yarn crafts show three different yarn flower techniques, all beautiful in their own right.
Yarn is also a great accent for decor pieces like the ever-so-popular monogram trend. But don’t forget the embellishments on larger letters, they just complete the whole feel!
Keeping up with the yarn decor, you can use yarn for string art. Yarn works just as well as string and gives more body to the art you make. I think the little cards are my favourite in this bunch!
Of course, no list of no knit yarn crafts can go by without mentioning the multitude of yarn wreath ideas! Here are four of my favourites from other blogs.
String art, wreaths, and monogrammed letters are great, but there are many more no knit yarn crafts that you can use for decor. Here are four more to round it out.
Now if I shared pom pom craft ideas, I better share some tassel craft ideas! Pom poms and tassels seem to be the back bone of no knit yarn crafts with many ideas for both. Once again, I am sharing a variety of ways you can use tassels just to give a flavour for this versatile yarn craft.
Want to keep you house in season? Do it with seasonal yarn decor of course! My favourite here is the winter hats because I remember making them when I was a young girl guide.
One of the yarn craft ideas that I was most intrigued with was all the jewelry crafts. I never thought that there were so many ways to accessorize with yarn other than knitted hats, scarves, and socks. There is a whole other world of no knit yarn accessories!
Did you read this far? Well kudos! Here are three more yarn craft ideas that I just had to include! Beautiful handmade feathers, scrap yarn birds, and braided dolls that are so much better than the wrapped ones I made as a kid. These three no knit yarn crafts are not to be missed!
Which of these no knit yarn crafts would you like to tackle?
I know I have a few added to my list!
