Have you seen something in my posts that says “affiliate links in post”?
How about the ads in my sidebar?
Wherever you see these things, I am using an affiliate link. To be clear and upfront I am going to let you know exactly what this means.
What are the links?
Well, I am an affiliate marketer. This means I post links to online retailers on my website in text links or ads. When people click on those links and buy something from the retailer, I earn a commission. The purchaser pays the same amount they otherwise would, there is no artificial price increase to account for the commission.
Why do I do this?
Well, blogging is a hobby for me, and an outlet, but it costs money. I pay for hosting fees, materials, and items to assist with blogging like my new camera. While not necessary to run a blog, these things make the blog more effective and easier to find on the internet and I enjoy having people stop by to see what I am up to. In order to offset the cost, I use the earnings from affiliate marketing.
Does this impact my content?
No. I will not change my content to please my retailer partners. I may post a review for them but I will always post what is on my mind. I will also only link to retailers I enjoy and trust.
How can I learn more?
You can email me (). I will be frank and honest about my affiliate activities so feel free to ask me questions.
